"Maggie Mae" about 5 years, post
Championship-coat, post 3 litters!
(under the very same table as cover photo above, too!)
Completion of her THIRD week in Uxbridge, as of TODAY!
She has had a rough 'go' of it!
As cheerful and easy-going as she acted all the time, the physical stress of changing environments, changing food and changing ownership has taken it's toll.
Maggie's weight is down about 5 kg, we had to give her a 'shot' (1 tablet) of DRONTAL), Fortiflora started to be mixed with food daily and Metronizadole 250 mg., twice daily for a week to heal her bleeding bowel!
This is the REASON for graduating changes!
Your dog may look to be able to change without fuss; but the "gradual change" is for the inner workings of the one's beloved canine!
Lesson learned!
Fear had been with the possibility of a worm-infection (seeing white spots in stool!).
With the recent bloody diarrhea the fear changed to parvoviral infection (in which case all dogs she had come in contact with would have to be notified!)
Family will head down to TURKEY POINT (where Barbara's father grew up!) and meet Obee's new Owner to pass-on his medications, food and toys ... Monday of this fall long weekend!
