What is BEST for the Puli?!?!?!?

I have had a very heavy heart and have been avoiding posting to this BLOG.
Those reciving it were only put on for this ONE post and I will be sure to take you off - unless instructed otherwise.                   barbararaallendecatanzaro@gmail.com!

Some of you will call me foolish; but I, as always,  "play by the rules": Dog bites are to be reported.
... and when you have former Police officers and current Registered nurses as your closest friends ... I feel thre is a moral obligation - for us all.

Learning to train animals has it's occupational hazards; I don't always get things right, the first time around and, admittingly, make mistakes.

The timid, 6 month old Puli, Obee, was in a very large Pack (breeding kennel) -  until we rescued him - and,  no doubtedly, experienced the dominant male of the Pack.  He would have been a strong-getting-stronger breeding-male who was forced to accept Dog Pack-rules.  It was upon bad advise that he was chosen to enter into the Human Pack-world - our World - at that age!

Now there are "good' Pulik and "bad" Pulik, depending upon which environment we expect them to live in!
With regards to obedience and willingness to please, Obee is not only "good" but "excellent".
With regards to living in a town, he is "bad".
I have tried so very hard to make it otherwise; but Obee is not "good" (does not do well) to be in a condo-environment where he must be walked on a leash and encounter dogs.
...
"blah, blah, blah"
...
Long and short of it:
Obee attempted to make me let go of my hold - which was to prevent him from longing at a Mastiff puppy - by  biting ... me!
I did not let go.
Mastiff ran off with owner; my dog-walking-friend-and-nurse went home with her dog and I was left alone with the Puli.
My reaction was to stand up (with hands still around Puli's neck, my mind numb to the pain) and plant the Puli on it's side!
My heart was broken.
I waited.

It took close to 20 minutes for the Puli to become submissive!

It is confusing; the world of the Human Pack!

My physical health will only get worse, before it get's better -  after knee replacement surgery (December 2013); I must resign to walking on the sidewalk.

I am not giving up on my "special needs" puli; I am justrecognizing he is a DOG that needs a job of guarding a farm or estate home.  A condo-dog he is NOT!
"Dog" needs to be re-homed with a family who can allow him to guard property - without children.
I cannot trust to continue to be with me, as I am so very often around and helping children - WINDREACH Farm or otherwise!
