Talk about 'Homecoming'!
Family friend, Cory, who at the age of 3 - when Barbara was a recovering 27 year old - displayed compasion fit for a 20 year old, is getting married in Kinburn, Ontario - just south of Fitzroy Harbour!
Tired as Barbara was Friday, she was running on adrenaline for the entire weekend!
de CAT.'s drove down on the Friday, allowing for an enjoyable morning's espresso on Mom & Dad'sbalcony and a relaxed preparation for festivities.
Not realizing the ease of travel - exit additions and road extensions! - we had 20 minutes to wait before, travellinfg from Kanata to Kinburn. Who would have known the Toronto-Boy wanted to see "Fitzroy harbour"?!
Was good to know some things - directions and shortcuts in the West Carleton countryside - remain in long-term memory!
Dancng with teh Groom's mom - OK, so it was "Paradise by the Dashboard Light"! - and a slow dance with Husband; but my knee remained unforgiving for days later!
Life before, during and after Brain Injury: "Letting go and Letting God". My muddled brain has, out of necessity, become more reliant on my the more visual "animal brain". All things brains, dogs and God! (D-O-G is G-O-D spelled backwards!) Life has become Joy filled ... all because of Godès creatures! ThIS second Puli - white, bitch who loves people! - is helping me learn about Life this second time around!
