It is the middle of Canada's "March Break" and kids swarmed the stables & barnyard!
Ssomehow, the cacaphony of sqeals, chirps and cluckings were processed without the customary 'brain-drain' or headaches.
It must have been a due to the combination of aromas - freshly-mucked stalls and fresh snow-over-muddied-fields! Spring is SO near, now!
Just seeing the faces of delight at the sight of the horse (beasts-of beauty) and the amazement that horses had a shower-stall after going to work in the Olympic-sized arena or outdoor ring ("Showers on warmer days, of course!")
...
The sight of little minds working as they process (was it learning or just imitating behaviours?)
answers about the special man who comes to fit each horse with special "shoes" that they wear to work, to play and even to 'bed" - in their stalls! (Now how ,any mothers will curse me as they struggle to take shoes off before bed?!?!)
Speaking at the rate for 6-year-old-learning came - from who knows where! - but proved to be a snap!
The brain IS weary after only 3 hours and needs to re-charge! Horizontal in a hay-bale would have done; but reserves of energy to drive home would have been impossible to muster!
Next time we'll attemtp four hours of "acting" - as if I know what I am doing!
(Still striving for the "Aca:demy Award" for Behaviour Imitation!
Now imitating sleep in front of the Puli!
