Another successful morning on the Farm (Obee in kennel while I work with Stock & NOT barking at every visitor's arrival = "successful")!
"Farmer Eleanor" expressed her admiration of Handler Barb's work-ethic and her efficiency at moving manure ("shovelling sh __?!?!)
and then,
in the same breathe repeated the idea I offered yesterday of "Us" being able to - eventually - "pasture" or Shepherd the sheep and keeping eys alert for coyotes as well as the sheep away from the poor fencing around the good pasture.
I dream BIG and THAT was just what I envisioned!
... but I am to be "afraid" of the cattle?!?!?!?!
No, never ... they haven't encountered a Farm girl with Staff-in-Hand & Puli by her side!
Ah well, our time will come!
Gambled (1$ "pool") on the lamb being born this Sunday, 11h ... will hear of the New come Wednesday's return to the Farm - Wednesdays being the day to continue working with the wool (brown, black and white)
We wash the shorn piles of wool; collect it from the drying racks; pick it clean of grain & grass to prepare for "carding" ... THAT we can do in Toronto at the Royal Winter Fair, as there are yet four buckets of shorn wool to sort.
"Sheep-to-Shawl"!
