O.K.
So it took me s while to see it ... I hadn't wanted to see it!
Yes, he is allergic to something - some kind of food, I suspect.
Allergies can be brought on by STRESS.
Although I was always conscious of Obee's state of mind and his willingness to do ANYTHING with me; I cannot honestly continue with peace-of-mind!
We have been one week with a special "z/d" diet and not a day in " uniform"/Service Vest on.
I cannot say his itching has stopped - completely - but we have come across situations where he has been able to "act like a normal dog"; as opposed, to a skittish Puli!
He still comes with me whenever I am 'Out-and-About in Town; but dutifully awaits - with leash OFF - my return, outside in a shaded covered buggy.
I have noticed LESS instances where he is wanting to assert his "masculinity" and cannot help but imagine a more calm and confident Puli.
I will still want to have him with me if I need to go into Toronto and will therefore keep his Service Vest - and letters of compliance - handy.
I look forward to an Ontario Puli Party to see what healthy, unstressed Pulik look like!
Maybe I should organize an afternoon at Cherry Beach?!?!
Send me an e-mail if you are interested!
BdeC for Obee
