...but, Obee's Owner & Handler, will not contribute to the"Backyard Breeding' that is filling teh country's Humane Societies with unwanted dogs!
Even though we could use the $$$ to finance Obee's next bit of Education to become a Service Dog!
We - Obee & I - have been accepted into Service Dog Training at "Forever Friends" (Instructor Jessica O'NEILL, Animal Behaviour consultant) and hope to be eligible for testing and acceptance into the Canadian Service Dog program, A.S.I.S.T. with just 12 weeks of training!
Of course, with the Schooling being available - for now - just in Ottawa, the 12 weeks will be spread throughout the year as Learning-Weeks can be arranged! Hope to "Bed & Breakfast" at Mom & Dad ALLEN, as they return from Florida at the end of march.
Life before, during and after Brain Injury: "Letting go and Letting God". My muddled brain has, out of necessity, become more reliant on my the more visual "animal brain". All things brains, dogs and God! (D-O-G is G-O-D spelled backwards!) Life has become Joy filled ... all because of Godès creatures! ThIS second Puli - white, bitch who loves people! - is helping me learn about Life this second time around!
