Trying to communicate with a Puli ... "not just a dog".
An overnighter at VISZLA VILLA to prepare for my Whistler-retreat (he'll be boarding there while I'm gone).
I agreed to do it "their" way and just run away when he was occupied by the Haram of Pulik - no "Wait"or "I'll return"- signals, I commonly used when I leave the car or house to go out.
01h he was howling & barking ... wondering where I was(?!)
Come July ... I'll leave on MY terms!
He, always living in the PRESENT, adjusted quickly enough and apparently enjoyed the attention of the puppies & bitches.
I, on the other hand, came to the realization of my state-in-life ... my participating in society had become a function of my ability to work with my dog.
Without him, my sense of worth /confidence seemed to vanish!
Grrr!
"Psychiatric Service Dog"?
This Puli does it for me ... others?!?!?!
Hmmm ...
