The day starts-off slowly, driving Michael to work, with Obee safely harnessed, with DOGGLES [http://doggles.com/] hanging out the back window! It's always a great way to start the day with a smile!
After two hours of work at the Library (Obee lying obediently 'on-guard' but out-of-the-way) we head home by way of KDP [http://www.kingswaydogpark.com/] .
BUT
Obee's out-of-control excited brking upon arrival has me exit the car WITHOUT him! I have never heard him 'protest' being left behind with such barks before - he does not have "separation anxiety" - at least doesn't express it vocally!
I went inside to talk with Lori & folks visiting, leaving Obee to stew for a few minutes.
It was I who was tired and needed to get home to rest ... so I went back to get Obee so he could have his afternoon "eliminations"!
I was only able to wait 10 minutes for him to settle-down. I made an effort in "calming" Obee down BEFORE he entered the Park(making him lie downbefreo I opened the gate) ; but I apparently did a poor job! He racwd-in, full of "Vim & Vinegar" and immediately picked on the two Labradour pups - 10 or 12 months old though! - one after the other !
[Had tehy been mature, they could have 'nailed' him and caused him to get stitches ... stitches would of course, neccesitate SHAVING ... shaving would take us out of Fall's DOG SHOWS! When I saw the third Ka-fuffle or "fight" - which he started - I went to him and quietly took him to the car.
He won't understand exactly why he's IN & i'm OUT; but if I start treating impolite DogPark-behaviour like this, I DO believe he will "get-it"! (Dog Trainers will have to keep posted!)
