"Cottage Country Lane" - moments from Downtown Toronto!

INTERPRTED FROM OBEE'S EXCITEMENT & ENJOYMENT: I could tell SOMETHING special had to be ' up' when the Doggie-life-jacket ; Bathing Jersey (Barb-sewn-sweatshirt to fit over my four-legged water-soaked-frame) were being gathered ! I knew it was going to be a big day when the Bus Buggy and bicycles were loaded. I should have known we wouldn't be going JUST to the near-by High School for a run and soon settled down from whining for a cool ride to the Big City. Walking beside the bike was a we-bit stressful on the sidewalks of Front & Bay St. The Bus Buggy (now pulled by Barb's bike) was the ideal spot for the crowded wait in line - and the cramping into the Ferry! At last a RUN beside the bike!; although I DID wonder why I had to wear this Flotation Device ... at least the sun did not feel as hot ! Agh! the water at last! It was a bit choppy - the water, what with all the boats - motor & sail - in the distance.
Thank goodness Bard had the leash attached to the FD as climbing back up the rocky shoreline was tough - even for an athlete like me! Herring in mustard sauce was NOT my idea of a snack; but Barb & Mike stopped for a long-time in a nice shady spot. ! (Barb did not have anything else to offer Oops!) After THIER lunch, we ran for a bit to, at last, a Doggie Beach! Entry into the water was a lot more calming & relaxing and a good sniff along the shore line found ANOTHER dead fish - without the mustard sauce! The Ferry-ride back was less crowded and Barb insisted on strolling the Upper deck - sans Bus Buggy! Luckily the ride back seemed shorter and before I knew it we were back Downtown. This time I allowed myself to ride like a King, head & forefront out the front window of the Buggy. The car at last - but oh was it hot! I quickly jumped-out to watch the loading process - Buggy, bags, then bikes!
